Introductory and fastpitch softball for players 5-15
Welcome to the 2024 Softball Season!
Thanks to the high school staff and team for a great evaluation weekend. Teams are being formed and coaches will be communicating rosters and welcome information directly to families.
Mark your calendars:
Saturday, April 27, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.:
2nd Annual Youth Clinic for 6U-14U- hosted by the High School program. Includes lunch and a t-shirt. Register here!
Tuesday, April 30:
Youth Night at the High School game - St. Anthony High School vs. Visitation @ Central Park and SABSA fundraiser at Steele & Hops from 3-6 p.m.
Typical start of regular season games:
*75% of teams qualify for the State Tournament. In the event a team does not qualify an alternate tournament or event may be considered.
SABSA fastpitch registration includes at least two in-season tournaments (three for 10U and 12U) in addition to the State Qualifier & State Tournament. Tournament dates for in-season tournaments are planned by the tournament coordinator and dates will be communicated to families as soon as possible. The cost of any additional tournaments, including post-season Nationals tournaments, will be the team's responsibility.
It is expected that Fastpitch players will commit to their team through the Qualifier and State Tournaments of their League. Families are respectfully requested to do as much as possible to schedule summer vacations around these tournaments to honor their player's commitment to their team. When scheduling tournaments, SABSA will work to avoid Father's Day and Fourth of July weekends to the extent possible.

The St. Anthony Booster Softball Association (SABSA) offers Introductory and Fastpitch Softball for players (age 5 - 15) who reside in St. Anthony, or attend school in the St. Anthony-New Brighton School District or the St. Charles Borromeo School.
Our purpose is to provide girls within our service area a recreational and competitive environment in which they can learn and develop the fundamental skills of Softball, and where they can develop self-discipline, responsibility, good sportsmanship, and leadership.
The softball programs provide girls opportunities at various age/skill levels of competition to help foster Players' success and growth.
See the "Ages and Levels of Play" page for information.
USA Softball uses the player's age as of August 31, prior year.
