MEMBERS OF THE ST. ANTHONY BOOSTERS SOCCER BOARD

Emily Sauey

President

Being a resident of St. Anthony since 2018  makes me so proud! I'm glad to contribute to a community that is engaged, passionate and dedicated to foster an environment that helps our kids. A fun fact about me - I can remember each address I've lived in (and there have been about 12 so far!)

Keely Couillard

Pre K (U4) Coordinator

Keely lives in Northeast Minneapolis with her husband Ryan who grew up in the St. Anthony Village community. They have two children, one of which started in the St. Anthony Village Boosters soccer program last year. She is a Senior Director at the American Cancer Society working with companies and their employees across the nation and globe to raise awareness and funds to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. She believes together we can improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient and caregiver support to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat and survive cancer. She is looking forward to incorporating her family's love of sports into volunteering for the boosters and supporting the greater community.

Sarah Olson

Uniform Director

Our family moved into St. Anthony in 2016, coming from NE Minneapolis where we lived for 10 years, we love this area and the community! My three kids participate in soccer and we have enjoyed filling our summers with St. Anthony Boosters Soccer over the years. Fun facts: I love to garden in our pollinator garden and I work part time as an Interior Design consultant on affordable housing projects.

Amanda Jackelen

Website & Registration Manager

I'm a recent addition to the Saint Anthony Community, having made the move from NE Minneapolis in 2023. Soccer was my favorite sport growing up and it helped shape my childhood and instilled in me values of teamwork, dedication, and perseverance. Now, as a proud parent, I'm thrilled to pass on this love for the game to my son. In my spare time, you'll find me delving into the pages of a fantasy book or doing yoga.

Scott Striegel

Vice President

My wife and I settled in St. Anthony in 2011 knowing it was a great town to raise a family, but it wasn't until our kids (currently ages 8, 7, and 5) started playing Boosters sports in 2021 that we really understood what this town is all about. I'm always inspired to see so many parents coming together to help our kids grow, and coaching/volunteering through Boosters Soccer is one way I feel I can give back to this wonderful community. Looking forward to spending every Monday-Thursday at Silver Point and Central Parks this summer!

Maria Jacobs-Schmidt

Grades 2-3 (U8) Coordinator

I have been a resident of St. Anthony Village since 2012. I have two boys that have a love of sports which has led to me to volunteer with the soccer boosters program. It has been a rewarding experience and it has given me a way to support the love of sports that my boys have. Volunteering for the boosters has been a great way to participate and support our community as well as giving me an opportunity as a working parent to meet families in the community.

Grant Olson

Director of Coaching

I've been a resident of St. Anthony since 2005, and my experience coaching in St. Anthony Sports Boosters soccer goes back to 2006. My first three teams named themselves Sharks, Dragons, and Fireballs, respectively. Most recently, I coached my stepson's U8 team and the team wanted to be known as the Emeralds. I have about eight years of traveling-level coaching experience and about six years of in-house experience. Sports Boosters programs have been wonderful for my kids and stepsons, and I find some meaning and purpose in playing a larger role in the soccer program.

John Lutz

Fields Director & 1-2 grade (U6) Coordinator

1. I’ve lived in Saint Anthony for 9 years

2. Boosters is an excellent way for me to help out a program that engages kids and families in the community. My kids really enjoy learning soccer and making friends in the program.

3. I played in the marching band at the University of Minnesota. Go Gophers!

Kris Nerka

Equipment Director

We have been residents in St. Anthony since 2011. Being involved in Soccer Boosters has brought a new understanding of the program and has helped me to understand how important it is to be involved. I have enjoyed getting to know the board members and look forward to working together to make this program a success. Fun fact about me- I collect sap from our trees in the Village to make maple syrup!
