Introductory (Intro/6U) Softball is a "first-year in Softball" experience geared for girls age 6 (at 8/31 of last year).  Girls as young as 5 are also eligible.

Girls age 7 with no prior ball experience may also want to choose Intro Softball, but girls who already throw and catch well, or who have completed a season of Intro Softball should choose 8U Softball.

Intro Softball focuses on learning the fundamental skills of the game and working up to game play.  

With an emphasis on fun, the season begins in late April/early May.  Players experience a season that begins with a clinic-like atmosphere, moves towards practices, and ends with scrimmages/games.  Successful years have brought opportunities to scrimmage with neighboring communities in June - mid-July.
