Introductory (Intro) Softball - geared for girls ages 6-7* 

2024 Fee:  $65

But, girls as young as 5 (with advanced skills for their age) have been successful in Introductory Softball.  Girls age 7 with good softball skills should consider 8U Softball.

8U Softball - geared for girls ages 7-8*

2024 Fee:  $150 (includes uniform shirt)

Girls ages 7-8 who have successfully completed Introductory Softball should consider 8U Softball.  

• 8U Teams usually play one In-Season Tournament and one End-of-Season Tournament.

Fastpitch Softball – geared for girls ages 9-14*

2024 Fee for 10u and 12u:  $275 base fee plus cost of uniform ($100 for a full kit)

2024 Fees for 14u:  $250 base fee plus cost of uniform ($100 for a full kit)

Fastpitch Softball involves more games, practices, and a greater commitment from the athlete

• Fastpitch teams usually play 2-4 In-Season Tournaments and 2 End-of-Season Tournaments (State-Qualifier and State).
• Registration fees include 3 in-season Tournaments for 10u and 12u teams.
• Registration fees include 2 in-season Tournaments for 14u teams.
• Additional In-Season Tournaments are at the Coach/Team Discretion and are paid for by the families on that team.

[Updated for 2024] The player's age on August 31, 2023 determines the age division in which the player is naturally placed for the 2024 season. This is a change from 2023 and previous years. See the age eligibility calculator from Minnesota Softball to confirm your player's level. 

Girls who play high school softball with St. Antony will play 14u with Boosters even if they are still 12u eligible.  

The Softball Board may request a qualified player to “play up” (on an ‘older’ team) to balance teams or fill roster spots.

• Scholarships/Fee Assistance is available to cover 50% of the Registration Fee; please email the SABSA President from the link below for more information.
•  It is expected that Fastpitch players will commit to their team through the Qualifier and State Tournaments of their League. Tournament dates can be found here. Families are respectfully requested to do as much as possible to schedule summer vacations around these tournaments.

2024 Registration Deadlines:

• 8U, 10U, 12U, & 14U Fastpitch Registration is scheduled to be open early January through early February.
• Intro to Softball (6U) registration will close on April 15th.
