Traveling Baseball

St. Anthony Boosters Baseball
Central Park - St. Anthony, MN

Program Information

The Traveling program is a more competitive baseball program than the In-House league, therefore it can require more time for both the players and the parents. It is not recommended to play two sports during traveling baseball. If a player chooses to play two sports, it is expected that baseball is the primary focus and expectations are to participate in all baseball practices, games and tournaments.

Price:
10U: $365
11U: $390
12U/13U/14U: $415

Eligibility: All students who reside in or attend schools within the St. Anthony/New Brighton Independent School District 282 are welcome to play in the Traveling program. Enrollment is limited to 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U and 14U kids. Non-resident/non-enrolled players will be considered if there are roster positions available.

Tryouts: All players trying out for traveling baseball are evaluated and scored by a third party evaluation organization paid for by SA Boosters Baseball.  2023 Tryouts are scheduled for Sunday, March 5th from 12:00pm to 4:00pm.  Individual level times are TBD. The players with the top 11 scores are selected to the traveling team, with the remaining players being placed on one of the In-House baseball teams. Coaches:  The Traveling program is dependent on volunteer coaches. All required coaching forms can be found here.

Practice/Game Schedule: Teams can expect two to three practices a week and generally two or three games.  In additions, most traveling teams play in three to four additional weekend tournaments.

Tournaments: Teams are pre-entered into 2-3 tournaments each season. The fees for these tournaments are included in the registration fee. Teams may decide to participate in more tournaments at their own expense.

Practices begin in early April with games starting in early May and continue through to mid-July. Playoffs start in mid-July and can go through the end of the month, depending on team performance.
